Droppo is a delivery management platform for businesses. It is not a consumer marketplace and does not sell goods. These terms of privacy are written for companies and their authorised portal users.
1. Who we are
Droppo operates from Doha, Qatar, and provides order creation, tracking, cash-on-delivery (COD) custody records, wallet settlement, and related tools through droppo-qa.com and the company portal.
For privacy questions, contact support@droppo-qa.com.
2. Who this policy covers
This policy covers:
- Companies that request or hold a Droppo business account.
- Authorised users of the company portal (owners, operations, finance).
- Information the company enters so Droppo can fulfil deliveries (including recipient details).
It does not replace a company’s own privacy notice to its end customers. When you upload recipient data, you remain responsible for having a lawful basis to share that data with Droppo for delivery.
3. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may process:
- Company profile: legal name, commercial registration number, logo, CR file, pickup address, and contact person details.
- Account access: username, hashed password, role, and sign-in activity needed to secure the portal.
- Orders and delivery: pickup and drop-off addresses, recipient name and phone, coordinates when provided, reference numbers, order status, proof of delivery, and related notes.
- Financial records: wallet balance and movements, delivery fees, cancellation and return fees, COD amounts, invoices, and statements.
- Technical logs: device, browser, IP address, and security events required to operate and protect the service.
4. How we use information
We use this information to:
- Review and activate company accounts.
- Create, price, assign, track, and complete delivery orders.
- Deduct and credit the company wallet, issue statements, and settle COD.
- Provide support, investigate disputes, and prevent fraud or misuse.
- Meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations in Qatar.
We do not sell company or recipient data to third-party advertisers.
5. How we share information
We share only what is needed to run the service:
- With the assigned delivery network and driver, so the order can be picked up and delivered.
- With Droppo operations and finance teams who support your account.
- With infrastructure and communications providers that host or send service messages under contract.
- With authorities when required by Qatari law, a court order, or a lawful request.
Recipient data is shared with fulfilment parties only to complete the delivery you created.
6. Roles under Qatari privacy law
Droppo processes personal data in line with Law No. 13 of 2016 on the Protection of Personal Data (Qatar) and related guidance.
- For company account, billing, and portal-user data, Droppo acts as a data controller.
- For recipient and shipment data that you enter, Droppo acts as a processor on your instructions, to fulfil the delivery service.
7. Retention
We keep account and transaction records while the company account is active and for as long as needed afterwards for accounting, dispute handling, and legal retention in Qatar. Proof of delivery, COD, and wallet ledgers are kept as operational and financial records. You may request deletion of data that is no longer required by law; some records cannot be erased while they remain necessary for settlement or compliance.
8. Security
Access to the company portal is authenticated and limited by role. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No online service is completely risk-free; you must keep portal credentials confidential and tell us promptly of any unauthorised access.
9. Your rights
Subject to Qatari law, a company or an authorised user may request access to, correction of, or restriction of personal data we hold, and may raise a complaint with the competent authority in Qatar. Send requests to support@droppo-qa.com. We may need to verify the requester’s authority to act for the company.
10. Cookies
The public website and portals use cookies that are necessary for language preference, sign-in sessions, and security. These are not used to build advertising profiles.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and the current version will be published on this page.
