1. The service
Droppo provides software and operational tools for businesses to create delivery orders, track fulfilment, manage a prepaid wallet for delivery fees, and follow COD collections. Droppo does not sell the goods inside a shipment and is not a party to the sale between the company and its end customer.
2. Account request and activation
A company account is created as inactive until Droppo reviews the commercial profile (including commercial registration details and supporting files) and activates access. Droppo may accept, defer, or decline an application. You must provide accurate company information and keep it up to date.
3. Company obligations
- Use the portal only for lawful business deliveries in Qatar.
- Enter complete and accurate pickup, recipient, and COD information.
- Keep enough wallet balance to cover delivery fees charged when an order is created.
- Ensure shipments are properly packed, labelled, and permitted for road delivery.
- Keep portal users limited to people authorised to act for the company.
- Not use Droppo for prohibited, hazardous, counterfeit, or otherwise unlawful items.
4. Orders, pricing, and the wallet
Delivery fees are calculated according to the pricing shown in the portal (including distance bands and bulk rules where they apply) and are deducted from the company wallet when the order is created. COD amounts are collected from the recipient on the company’s behalf; they are not deducted from the wallet. Cash-handling or other operational fees, if applied, appear in the portal and on statements.
You are responsible for checking the fee before confirming an order. Once created, changes, cancellations, and credits follow the Refund Policy.
5. Cash on delivery
When an order is marked COD, the assigned driver may collect cash from the recipient. Droppo records custody and settlement so the company can follow amounts due. Remittance timing follows Droppo’s operational settlement cycle. Disputes about the goods, prices charged to the end customer, or missing items remain between the company and its customer, except where Droppo’s delivery record (including proof of delivery) is relevant.
6. Proof of delivery and tracking
Status updates, location, and proof of delivery are provided to help the company monitor execution. They are operational records, not a guarantee that the end customer is satisfied with the merchandise.
7. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to disrupt the platform, access another company’s data, reverse-engineer the service, or use Droppo to send spam or fraudulent orders. Droppo may suspend an account that presents security, fraud, unpaid wallet, or legal risk.
8. Intellectual property
Droppo’s name, software, maps integration, and portal design remain Droppo’s property. You keep ownership of your company content (logo, CR files, order data) and grant Droppo a licence to use it solely to provide the service.
9. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the platform available, but it is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. Droppo is not liable for delays caused by inaccurate addresses, recipient unavailability, traffic, weather, force majeure, or the nature of the goods. To the extent permitted by Qatari law, Droppo’s aggregate liability related to a company account is limited to the delivery fees actually paid by that company to Droppo in the three months before the claim, excluding COD amounts which belong to the company.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under Qatari law.
10. Indemnity
The company will indemnify Droppo against claims arising from unlawful shipments, inaccurate recipient data, goods defects, or misuse of the portal by the company’s users.
11. Suspension and closure
Either party may end the relationship subject to settling open orders, wallet balances, COD, and fees. Droppo may suspend access if fees remain unpaid, if information is false, or if continued use would breach the law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. The courts of Doha have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory mediation or consumer-protection process that may apply.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the company portal after the updated version is published constitutes acceptance, except where Qatari law requires a different notice method.
